Special Session 3: AI in Advanced Data Analytics

Session organizers: Wencai Du by e-mail (georgedu@cityu.mo), City University of Macau. Simon Xu by e-mail (Simon.xu@algomau.ca), Algoma University.

Advanced data analytics and deep learning are two high-focus of data science. Big Data has become key assets for many public and private organizations for dealing with problems such as national intelligence, cyber security, fraud detection, marketing, and medical informatics. Companies or organizations are analyzing large volumes of data for business analysis and decisions, impacting existing and future technologies in both data analytics and deep Learning. Deep Learning deduces high-level, complex abstractions as data representations through a hierarchical learning process. A key comparative advantage in Deep Learning is the analysis and learning of huge amounts of unsupervised data, making it a valuable tool for Advanced Data Analytics, especial for Big Data Analytics where raw data is largely unlabeled and uncategorized.

  • Big Data Science and Foundations
